A keyword phrase (or a search phrase) is the group of words that an online shopper types into a search engine like Google when searching for a product to purchase.

A keyword phrase could be a single word (i.e. "dog"), but it usually consists of several words (i.e. "insulated dog houses"). When a searcher enters a keyword phrase, the search engine attempts to provide a list of the most relevant, useful, and important web pages for the keyword phrase entered. It uses an algorithm to rank web pages and put them in a meaningful order. Google and the other search engines treat each keyword phrase independently and generate a unique set of results for each unique keyword phrase.

As an e-commerce store owner, one of the most critical tasks you have is to choose which keyword phrase(s) to focus on and build your store around. Coach's Keyword Tool makes the process of finding high-volume, low-competition keyword phrases easy.
