Article spinning is the process of making small changes to the text of an article to make its content unique from similar articles.

One way to get backlinks to your site is to post articles on "article sites" out on the web. However, if every article you post has the exact same text, Google will likely ignore most of the articles because they have duplicate content. One way to create "unique" articles is to write 1-2 articles and then "spin" them. (But if you have the time, Store Coach recommends that you take the time to just write a completely unique article every time you want to post an article somewhere.)

"Spinning" an article is a fairly straightforward process in which you "spin" (i.e. replace, swap out, re-arrange) individual words, short phrases, full sentences, and even paragraphs within the article. Let's use the following sentence as an example:

   --> "A free Store Coach account gives you access to hundreds of e-commerce training videos, helpful articles, and the community forum."

There are several individual words in this sentence that we could replace with a synonym:

• free: no-cost, zero-cost
• training: tutorial, educational, instructional
• helpful: useful, informative

There are also some short phrases that could be changed out:

• "gives you access to" could be changed to "lets you access"
• "hundreds of" could be change to "a host of" or "countless"
• "the community forum" could be changed to "the Store Coach community"

We could even change this entire sentence if we wanted to. The point is that, by replacing a few words or phrases with words and phrases that mean the same thing, you can basically re-write an article so its textual composition is completely unique even though it really says the same thing. Look at a couple of unique sentences we can create by "spinning" it as described above:

• "A zero-cost Store Coach account gives you access to countless e-commerce educational videos, useful articles, and the Store Coach community."


• "A no-cost Store Coach account lets you access a host of e-commerce instructional videos, informative articles, and the community forum."

If you decide to spin articles (rather than write truly unique articles, as Store Coach suggests), you can do it manually or find an article-spinning software on the Internet for a fairly low cost. Software makes the process of spinning an article quite fast and easy.
