Please tell me I'm missing something very obvious!

Here are my current challenges:

Store name disappears when I add logo.

None of the text I input is displayed.

Can't change back template colors (I already posted earlier about this one).

Yes....I'm clicking 'okay' and 'save'.

What am I doing wrong?Huh?

It seems like such a simple 'point and click' system and nobody else seems to be struggling so I know it is just me.

The store logo will replace the store name in the upper-left corner when you upload it. That's how it's supposed to work..

As for the other issues, I'm not real sure why you're seeing them. As a starting point I would clear all temporary files, make sure your browser is updated & reboot your computer to see if that makes them go away.

So I can't have the logo and the store name next to each other?

I'm going to clear everything and reboot and we'll see what happens.

Okay.......I cleared my browser history........updated Windows........still can't make any changes.

Is there a way I can clear everything I've done and start over?

Ideally your logo should represent your store name anyway. If you want additional text these would go into your H1 tag. Consider changing your logo (if possible) and have the store name in the logo image, if that's what you are looking for. Your store name, will appear as an ALT tag for the store logo I believe which re-directs you back to the homepage.

Are you just removing the numbers and clicking save? Ideally you want to input the HTML Color code (which I gave you a link to in the other post) and define which color background you want.

You're right.....the logo should have the name in it and I will fix that.

I'm still not having any success changing the color.   I'm going to submit a ticket at this point because I have spent far too many hours trying to figure it out and am completely frustrated.

Thanks for the link to the color codes, it will come in handy.

FYI, the programming team made some major changes to the template area today, so that may be what you were seeing. Check it out in the morning and let us know if you are still seeing issues.

I'm a self proclaimed non-techie but I'm far from an idiot.

I never thought I'd be so happy to hear about a bug in the system.

Hmmm ... perhaps you can look at it as a bug. If so, I prefer to think of it as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly!
