- The goal of Chapter 1 is to choose a product micro niche and 1-2 specific keyword phrase(s) to target within that micro niche
- Choosing your product line is the first and most important step in the Store Coach Game Plan for building a profitable ecommerce store
- At this point, you do NOT need to know what you're going to sell or have a supplier for it
- We'll teach you how to use the dropship model so you don't need any start-up capital or a warehouse to stock inventory
- You aren't trying to compete against the "big dog" retail giants; your goal is to become king of your little micro niche (which all the "big dogs" have overlooked)
- You don't need to be an "expert" in your micro niche (or even be interested in it); you will learn about the product line as you build and operate your store
- You don't need to find a micro niche with no competition at all (that's actually a bad sign); the goal is to find a micro niche where the competition is weak
- The basic economic principles of "supply and demand" apply to ecommerce stores; learn more about the economics of ecommerce
- Coach's Keyword Tool shows you the demand for a product (measured by the number of daily searches) as well as the strength of the top competitors in that market (i.e. the supply, measured by the Market Opportunity Score (MOS)
