Optimize Your Website's Content & Structure
HIGHLIGHTS:
- It is very important to have unique content on your website's pages
- If your brand new website has the exact same content as dozens of other already-existing sites in the market, why should Google even care that it exists?!
- Your content needs to be unique and useful in order for Google to care about remembering it (i.e. caching it)
- Having unique content has always mattered, but with Google's recent algorithm updates it matters now more than ever before
- Each page of your website should have at least 2 paragraphs of 100% unique, self-written text
- Focus on your home page first, then add unique content to category pages, and then move on to product pages
- Naturally "sprinkle" your keyword phrase(s) a few times "here and there" throughout the text
- Add new, fresh content to your site every week or two...
- Post new articles to the 'Articles' section of your site
- Utilize Zulu Cart's 'Product Q&A' feature to add unique content to product pages
- Consider installing a simple WordPress blog (learn how here) on your site & posting new blog entries on it every week or so
- Interlinking within your own website is important - Zulu Cart does most of it for you, but you should link to relevant pages within your articles and blog posts
- Structure your categories so it is logical for your customers (including keyword phrases here & there if it makes sense)
- Zulu Cart allows you to create 100% custom URLs for all of your pages - use this feature to keyword-optimize your page URLs
